Membership Requirements

Monument Chapter Regent, Helene Spring

Any woman over the age of 18 who can prove lineal, blood line descent, from one of the more than 123,000 proven patriots, is eligible to join the Daughters of the American Revolution. If you have a 4th or 5th (or more) great grandparent (man or woman) who was born between about 1700 and 1765, and who lived in the American Colonies during the American Revolution, you may be the descendant of an American patriot.

To confirm whether you have a recognized patriot in your family, go to the NSDAR Ancestor Search. View Monument Chapter’s Patriots page to see the list of patriot ancestors in our chapter.

For more information on DAR membership requirements, go to the NSDAR membership page.

Are you interested in joining the Monument Chapter DAR?  If so, we would be more than happy to assist you with any aspect of the membership process. Please Contact Us  or the chapter registrar at dar.monument.chapter@gmail.com with any questions.
